Close binary systems at different evolutionary stages - Jamammad Rustamov
Abstract: After giving a short introduction on the Shamakha Astrophysical Observatory (ShAO) of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and its equipment I will mainly concentrate on observational properties of close binary systems. Our many years of experience in this field will be exposed. Moreover, information about our local group and possibility for cooperation between ShAO and the Université de Montréal will be discussed. Complementary aspects of optical and satellite observations will also be highlighted.
