Résumé : Lactones and lactams make up a range of structurally complex and useful compounds, from antibiotics to nanomaterials. Inspired by these cyclic architectures, we are developing catalytic methods that feature the enantioselective functionalization of carbon-hydrogen bonds. Our goal is to develop green and efficient strategies for constructing heterocycles and other biologically relevant motifs. This lecture will discuss the design, scope, and mechanism of novel hydroacylation methods.
