Conférence du Dr Anand Teltumbde

Résumé
In 1947 India became an independent country after centuries of British colonial rule. The constitution of the post-colonial nation guaranteed equal rights to all.  However seven decades later many inequalities remain, the most glaring and entrenched being caste.  But this has not been without resistance by those most oppressed by caste -- Dalits and Other Backward Castes (OBCs).  Dr. Anand Teltumbde will speak to caste oppression and exploitation, organizing to resist and challenges, in the context of a neoliberal, class, communal and caste polarized India today.
